A village wedding with fields, friends, and a football hall party!
Living in the same village, and knowing them through our good friends Roxanne & Chris, (whose Stotfold wedding I photographed not long ago), meant I was already walking into a day filled with familiar faces and guaranteed laughter.
The ceremony at the local church had all the warmth you’d expect from a village wedding: proud families, big smiles, and plenty of happy tears. But one of my favourite moments came right after — when we snuck away into a nearby field for a photoshoot. Picture this: a gorgeous couple, the countryside as our backdrop, and a lot of joking around that had us laughing between every shot. Sometimes the most relaxed settings make for the best photos.
Then it was back to the real party at the Arlesey Football Hall — and let me tell you, this crowd knew how to celebrate. Forget posh hotels, this was all about good friends, flowing drinks, and a dance floor that never got a chance to rest. By the end of the night, my camera wasn’t the only thing tired — my cheeks hurt from smiling so much behind it!
Why Local Weddings Are the Best
The community spirit in places like Arlesey & Stotfold is unbeatable.
Familiar faces make it feel like one big family celebration.
A quick stroll into the countryside = instant perfect photo spot.
Becca & Jason — thank you for letting me be part of your amazing day. Photographing your wedding just a stone’s throw from home was an absolute joy. Between the heartfelt vows, the field photoshoot, and the football hall madness, it’s a wedding I won’t forget any time soon.
