When Anisha & Rishan asked me to photograph their wedding at Crewe Hall, I knew it was going to be one for the books. This Grade I listed manor in Cheshire is the kind of venue that makes you stop, stare, and think, “wow, this is going to be special.” And it truly was.
The morning began with Anisha getting ready in one of the historic suites, surrounded by the joyful chaos of bridesmaids, laughter, and last-minute touches.
The Hindu ceremony was held in one of Crewe Hall’s magnificent state rooms, with its rich interiors and tall windows setting the perfect backdrop for rituals that have been celebrated for centuries. Leading the ceremony was Pandit Hemang Bhatt, one of the finest Hindu priests I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. His calm presence, flawless delivery of the mantras, and the way he explains traditions with warmth and clarity always make the day feel extra meaningful — not just for the couple, but for every guest in the room.
Afterwards, we took advantage of the Hall of Pillars for portraits. Its dramatic columns, ornate ceilings, and timeless atmosphere added so much character to their images, complemented perfectly by the gardens outside. Anisha & Rishan were naturals, slipping between laughter and quiet moments as if the camera wasn’t even there.
The evening reception unfolded in the Grand Ballroom, where heartfelt speeches gave way to a proper celebration. Between the clinking glasses, the bursts of laughter, and the joy on the dance floor, it was the perfect finale to a day steeped in both tradition and fun.
