If you thought an Indian wedding couldn’t happen in the heart of London with full flair — N & S proved otherwise. Their celebration at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms was a dazzling blend of tradition, style, and city energy.
I met them on the morning, and right away I got the vibe: this wasn’t just a wedding — it was a statement. The bridal prep was buzzing, the detail shots were next level, and every accessory looked like it belonged in a magazine spread. N looked stunning (as expected), and S was doing those proud-groom things — checking the time, adjusting the tie, and sneaking glances that said, “I can’t believe she’s mine.”
The ceremony took place in one of GCR’s regal halls, under crystal chandeliers, with sweeping ceilings, wood paneling, arches — the works. The rituals unfolded beautifully, moments charged with emotion, and touches of laughter weaving through the formality. (At one point, a cousin whispered something cheeky, and half the room broke into grins.)
After that, we used the grandeur of the building itself as our photo playground — wide staircases, corridors with light streaming in, nooks and corners that begged for portraits. Every time we turned a corner, another “wow” backdrop awaited.
The reception was something to behold. The Grand Hall can host hundreds (up to ~540 seated for dinner, more for standing)
Here, the magic elevated — speeches, laughter, music, color, and dance. Even though it was a big crowd, the energy never diluted. You felt every cheer, every beat.
