Smoke grenades, CO₂ cannons, and a horse with its own fan club
After Cambridge laughs and Beaumanor vows, the finale landed: Bhav & Vinnay’s Hindu wedding at The Lakeside Suite in Leicester. If the pre-events hinted at fun, the main day shouted it — with music, colour, fire, smoke, and a dancefloor that just didn’t quit.
Morning calm → Baraat mayhem
The day started quietly enough with the usual getting-ready bustle — jewellery, outfits, family popping in and out. Then came the Baraat: Vinnay arriving on horseback, flanked by a full orchestra, smoke grenades turning the entrance into a festival, and cheers that rattled the walls. Honestly, the horse looked like it was enjoying the attention too.
Ceremony & games
Inside, the mandap framed a heartfelt ceremony filled with rituals, laughter, and moments that felt like time paused. The couple’s families kept it beautifully grounded, then the post-ceremony games broke the spell — playful, noisy, and impossible not to grin through.
Portraits & party
We slipped out for a handful of portraits around The Lakeside Suite’s grounds, just enough breathing space before the chaos resumed. And chaos it was — the evening kicked off with a dhol and violin entrance, speeches that swung between tears and roars of laughter, and then a full-throttle party complete with CO₂ cannons blasting the dancefloor.
Why The Lakeside Suite works
For couples searching “Leicester Hindu wedding venue,” this one nails it: big, versatile, and perfect for ceremonies that need space for a horse, a band, and 400+ hyped guests. It’s built for noise, colour, and nights that roll long past midnight.
