Smiles, dancing, and pure joy at one of London’s grandest venues.
If you’ve ever been to a Ghanaian wedding, you already know — time runs on African wedding time! 😄 And honestly, that’s part of what makes them so much fun.
Chancy & Charles’ wedding at the spectacular Meridian Grand in London was no exception. We started the day with all the plans in place — including a golden-hour photo session — but the sunset had other ideas. Not that it mattered. With Chancy’s radiant smile lighting up every room (I swear she could outshine the chandeliers), we had all the light we needed.
The ceremony was beautiful, but the reception? Absolute chaos — the best kind of chaos. Music shaking the walls, guests in colourful outfits filling the dance floor, speeches that had everyone laughing until their sides hurt, and moments where I almost forgot to take pictures because I was grinning so much behind the camera.
Why Meridian Grand is Perfect for Big African Weddings
Meridian Grand is one of those venues that feels built for celebrations like this. The sweeping staircase, glittering chandeliers, and huge ballroom make it perfect for African weddings — big families, big energy, big dancing. If you’re planning a wedding where joy and culture are centre stage, this is a venue that won’t let you down.
Thank you, Chancy & Charles, for letting me be part of your incredible day. You gave me more smiles to capture than my camera could handle — and Chancy, I’m still not sure how you managed to look like sunshine in every single frame.
