A Colourful Ceremony at Sangam Banqueting
Some weddings are wild from start to finish — music, dancing, and the kind of speeches that make you laugh until you cry. And then there are weddings like Alice & Manny’s at Sangam Banqueting in Edgware — small, traditional, beautifully calm, and every bit as meaningful.
For me, it also felt like a reunion. A few years ago, I had the honour of photographing Manny’s brother’s wedding — so walking into this one was like catching up with old friends. Same warmth, same laughter, same feeling that I wasn’t just “the photographer” but part of the family for the day.
Alice looked incredible — delicate, poised, with that quiet confidence that makes every photographer’s job easy. Manny, well, let’s just say he couldn’t stop grinning (and I suspect he still hasn’t stopped). The Hindu ceremony inside Sangam’s elegant hall was the heart of the day: garlands, rituals, and those timeless promises that made even the shy relatives tear up.
Afterwards, instead of a loud reception, we slipped away to Canons Park. And honestly, it was perfect. The greenery, the open space, the little moments when they forgot the camera was there — those photos are the kind that couples look back on years later and say, “That’s so us.”
Venue Highlight: Sangam Banqueting, Edgware
If you’re planning your big day here, Sangam is a great choice because:
Spacious halls – plenty of room for traditional ceremonies without feeling crowded.
Lighting & decor options – the perfect backdrop for colourful Indian rituals.
North London location – right in Edgware, easy for families coming from across the city.
Experience with cultural weddings – whether Hindu, Sikh, or other, they know how to support traditions seamlessly.
Alice & Manny, thank you for letting me capture your day. Between the family reunions, your radiant smiles, and our walk through Canons Park, this one is going to stay with me for a long time. Sometimes less really is more.
