A barn, a big sky, and South Farm doing what it does best
Some weddings arrive already smiling. Rachel & Guy’s day at South Farm was exactly that — easy, sunny, and full of those little moments that make you forget you’re working (even though we were, as SpotyPhoto on both photography and videography).
Morning fizz → “I do”
South Farm has that calm-about-it vibe where nerves melt on the walk from the farmhouse to the courtyard. Their ceremony was warm and unpretentious: a few happy wobbles in the vows, a lot of grins, and then confetti that refused to fall politely.
Portraits that breathe
We took the slow route: paths, ponds, and that famous blue door cameo. Nothing stiff — just two people being themselves with a pretty ridiculous backdrop. It’s the kind of place where you put the camera down for a second, look up, and think: yep, that’ll do.
Barn + dancefloor = trouble (the good kind)
Speeches walked the tightrope between roast and tears, and once the music landed, the Tudor Barn was a magnet. Guests drifted out to the courtyard for air and sprinted back in for “one more song.” Classic barn-wedding mayhem: shoes off, ties around heads, zero regrets.
Why couples love South Farm
If you’re searching for a South Farm wedding photographer or a Cambridgeshire barn wedding with real countryside character, this venue nails it — big skies, gorgeous grounds, and all the breathing room a party needs. For us as Cambridgeshire wedding photographers and videographers, it’s a dream loop: ceremony, portraits, dancefloor, repeat.
Rachel & Guy — thank you for the laughter, the easy portraits, and a dancefloor that wouldn’t quit. Can we do it again next weekend?
