A stylish London celebration full of laughter, love, and dancing
Sarah & AK are the kind of couple who make you feel like you’ve known them forever — easy-going, fun, and with just the right amount of cheeky humour. I first met them after photographing their friends’ wedding, and I was thrilled when they reached out to have me capture their own big day.
The day began at the elegant De Vere Theobalds Estate, where Sarah got ready surrounded by her closest friends. There’s always something special about those bridal prep hours — a mix of excitement, happy nerves, and little jokes flying around the room. By the time Sarah was ready, the atmosphere was buzzing with joy.
Their ceremony was held at Capel Manor Gardens in Enfield, and in true English style, the rain made a brief appearance. But rather than dampen the mood, it gave us a perfect backdrop for some romantic photos — umbrellas and all. Sarah and AK laughed through it, proving once again that sometimes the best wedding moments are the unscripted ones.
From there, it was off to The Decorium in Wood Green for the reception — and this is where things really came alive. The Decorium is one of my favourite venues for African and multicultural weddings, and it didn’t disappoint. From the grand entrance to the heartfelt speeches, and of course the dance floor that barely got a break, the evening was pure celebration. Sarah even rocked a “BRIDE” hat and disco glasses at one point — a perfect reflection of her playful personality.
